The 18 ballot boxes of the May 14 elections will be recounted again for the municipality of Kuçova, in the district of Berat.
4 counting groups have been organized near the electoral college for the recounting of 18 boxes in the municipality of Kuçova.
The plaintiff, the lawyer of the candidate of the Bashke Fitomje coalition, requested the non-start of the counting process as he claims that there are not complete records in the box of election materials that show the total number of votes and if it coincides with the actual number of votes found in box. Currently, the session has been interrupted and the CEC representative is being given time to find the materials.
During the interruption, there was a clash between Lefter Maliqi and the general secretary of the CEC Ylli Merkaj.
The terms used were offensive, where Maliqi addressed him with the words "Rugac", "Thief".
The recount is the decision of the Electoral College that rejects the previous decision-making of the Complaints and Sanctions Commission, after the request of the candidate of the Together We Win Coalition for the reevaluation of the votes and the declaration of the invalidity of the elections in this municipality.
