The Secretary for Legal Affairs in the Democratic Party, Indrit Sefa, has made strong accusations against the Gazment Bardhi group, regarding their positions in the Democratic Party.
Invited to Euronews Albania, Sefa said that Bardhi's group opposed the holding of elections in the Democratic Party, as their plan was for this political force to surrender unconditionally to former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
According to Sefa, if the holding of the elections was prevented, then the organizational plans in DP would never go ahead and the party would surrender unconditionally to former Prime Minister Berisha, if it wanted to survive.
"We have given the opportunity to all deputies to be part of the election process, even they have been delegated in the respective areas, they have been part of the working groups. Rights or even obligations they had towards the Democratic Party that they never exercised. If the Democratic Party were to wait for the consent of each one of us to proceed with its organizational plans, it would never be done. Perhaps this was also the goal, to prevent the election of the structures of the Democratic Party, to prevent the elections of the organization of the Democratic Party in order to reach this result, which is the unconditional surrender to Sali Berisha. This has been the objective of some people there", said Sefa.
