Kryemadhi submits the initiative to the Assembly, requests to receive from Meta 10% of the fund that the Freedom Party receives from the state budget
The MP of the Freedom Party, Monika Kryemadhi, has filed an initiative in the Assembly which provides that at least 10% of the public funding that benefits political parties will be transferred directly to women within the political party.
According to Kryemadhi, this is dedicated to the empowerment of girls and women within the respective party.
In the letter addressed to Speaker of the Parliament Elisa Spiropali, it is written that the reporting to the CEC regarding the expenses pertaining to this amount is done separately from the rest of the finances for which the relevant political party reports.
The addition of this point to the law on "Political Parties" enables an a priori quota, which is determined by law and dedicated specifically to women and girls within the political party, making their automatic transition to the use of women's party structures mandatory.
It also provides for the separate reporting of relevant expenses to the CEC to avoid the use of this amount of public funding, beyond the provisions of this law.
It is not known if this initiative undertaken by Kryemadhi is related to the divorce process between her and the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta.
The former president announced in June that he has started divorce proceedings from his wife Monika Kryemadhi, after 26 years of marriage and even more years of a political cohabitation.
Meta has not been living in the family home for several months.
Even in the request for divorce, he presented as a personal address, that of the Freedom Party. The shock of the relations between them was revealed publicly, when the reformation of the leadership structures of the Freedom Party left Kryemadhi out of them.
The two do not hesitate to share moments from their private lives from time to time, while enjoying the weekend in nature, apart from each other. / Top Channel
