The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, reacted from the balcony of his house in the daily meeting, regarding the protest held yesterday. Berisha said that the lion woke up, stressing that it was only the beginning.
He added that there is no force that can stop them. Berisha said that the protest had a massive presence of young people, which he called a great omen.
"Yesterday's battle witnessed the awakening of the lion. Yesterday's battle proved to be the great beginning of our mission to restore free voting in Albania. The massive presence of young people in this battle was a great, white omen that the pain will not last long. You criminals who poisoned an entire neighborhood even before the demonstrators arrived in front of parliament with toxic gas.
You who poisoned children coming home from school. You who poured shotgun bullets on the citizens returning to the streets. You drug bandits with these acts showed the hateful face of Edi Rama. But you, true freedom fighters, were yesterday the conscience of you and your nation. You were the voice of the silent. You were the conscience of every European citizen who reacts courageously to every form of tyranny.
You who wanted to burn protesters alive for their political beliefs, you outdid the Taliban. You are brothers with the Taliban. That's why I tell you today that this was just the beginning. My call once again, Albanians on their feet. There is no force in the world that can stop us", declared Berisha.
