The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was asked about the absence in Tirana of the American leader of the Democratic Party's electoral campaign, Chris LaCivita.
According to Berisha, he is in constant contact with him, while adding that LaCivita will soon return to Tirana.
" I have a lot of email and phone correspondence with Chris LaCivita. He will come and be present when the campaign starts. When he comes, you will see, Rama will hit the table with his head, not with his hand, " Berisha said on the show "NOW with Erla Mëhillin."
He recalled a moment when Rama had hit the table during an online conversation, adding: "Good thing there wasn't a minister nearby," Berisha said.
Berisha said that Chris LaCivita was familiar with the DP program, liked it and gave full support to it.
" Chris LaCivita is familiar with the DP program and has fully supported it. The Heritage Foundation and the Adenauer-Stiftung have contributed substantially to our campaign program. These two foundations have strongly supported our program. The program has also been recognized by Chris LaCivita, President Trump's campaign strategist, and we have received their approval and full support. It is a sanctioned program with great international support and LaCivita liked it very much ," Berisha said.
Recall that Chris LaCivita served as a senior advisor and manager of Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, playing a key role in shaping the strategy for one of the most closely watched races in the world.
He has been chosen by the DP to lead the electoral campaign for the May 11, 2025 elections.
