"I did not plan to be on the list of deputies". This is what the daughter of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Argita Malltezi, said.
Asked about her activism in politics, Argita in the 'Quo Vadis' studio stated:
"I did not plan to be on the lists of deputies. I cannot give this answer.
Dealing with politics is a general term. Do I plan to engage in active politics in the front row, no. I have always had an active life in politics. I have no confusion. I did not plan that I would enter politics. It was offered to me and I turned it down. If I enter politics, I will not enter to lead a protest".
Argita Malltezi admitted that she has discussed everything with Sali Berisha, but currently she does not prioritize positioning in the front row.
"I also discussed with my father, but I do not have a priority to enter the front line of political activism", Malltezi added.
Asked who will inherit Berisha's political "mortgage", Argita Malltezi said:
"Berisha's legacy belongs to PD, which came as a result of the people who contributed and the leadership of Sali Berisha. There is also a family component, which belongs to us. This is something that can be kept in the family and both cannot be included. If I will not deal with politics, Shkëlzeni and I will preserve that special heritage".
