The Secretariat of Ethics in the Parliament of Albania has canceled the parliamentary session of March 7, where 5 draft laws were approved, among them the one on strategic investments.
The session of March 7, held amid chaos, passed only with the votes of the socialist majority the extension of the deadline until the end of 2024 for strategic investments.
The first clashes started between Gazment Bardhi and the head of the session, Ermonela Felaj, who was accused of passing laws in violation of the regulation, since the parliament lacked a quorum.
At the start of the proceedings, only 68 socialist deputies confirmed their presence in the hall, while the quorum necessary for the approval of laws, according to the regulation, would have to be 71, that is, more than half of the deputies of the Assembly of Albania.
Deputy of the Democratic Party Saimir Korreshi has reacted after the cancellation of the vote in the Secretariat of Ethics.
He has called this a small victory as he called on the majority MPs to go to the Assembly and vote the laws.
