Lea Ypi spoke in the QUO VADIS studio about her relationship with politics and the rumors related to her public engagement after returning to Albania.
She emphasized that politics is not excluded from her life, but it is not currently the main focus.
However, Ypi emphasized that at this moment her priority is books and academic work.
"No, I don't exclude it from my life, because I'm in politics, I deal with politics, I write books that I try to have a political impact. We all have politics. No one excludes anything, but right now my priority is books. I don't ask myself this question," said Ypi.
She said that people often read politics as a show, with names coming in and out, forgetting that politics is a process of democratic forces.
"And I've tried to understand what brings about this need to mention names, what makes journalists say to me "have you seen the statement of so-and-so that mentioned your name?" In fact, it's not true. The news is made starting from a falsehood and then the falsehood is magnified. Why do people try to read politics as a show, with names of people coming in and out? How is it explained that we fail to break down politics as the politics of democratic forces? We, after all, live in a democracy, and the system is not built by an individual," said the writer.
