Former Democratic Party MP, Ervin Salianji, stated that he has not received a direct reaction from the European People's Parties regarding the open letter he sent them, raising concerns about the way in which, according to him, the Democratic Party is being led by Sali Berisha.
Salianji stated that international partners are following with concern political developments in Albania and the level of democratic standards, especially within the opposition.
"I have communicated with international factors. The concern that every partner of Albania has is that democratic standards have fallen. When the opposition produces this farce to politically survive a person who has had his own contributions to Albania, he does it for personal interest, but the person decides at some point to have a different relationship with his own political history. These are indirect ways of reacting. It would be good to wait for salvation from the international community, but we must be looking to the West, but change comes by uniting here with each other," said Salianji.
