Democratic MP Oerd Bylykbashi, speaking at the meeting with sympathizers in Durrës, requested that the former prime minister, Sali Berisha, be released from arrest and receive the official seal of the DP.
He stated that their goal is to topple Edi Rama, describing him as a predator. Bylykbashi claims that the seal issue is being held hostage by Edi Rama, who is using the politically captured judicial system.

The branch of the Democratic Party in Durrës is the largest branch in Albania, it has shown that it knows how to win and that it is in the vanguard of the DP.
At the end of September 2021, the democrats came together in this hall and in their eyes, I saw the feeling of unity. Since that day, we have started the path of uniting the DP and returning to its principles.
Today is an important stage during these two and a half years and more that in the journey we have tried every day to unite while waging political battles.
What is of fundamental importance beyond any kind of division is the unification of grassroots Democrats to make this country better. I have the deep conviction that the vote is at the foundation of the union of every democrat.
Because the vote is what brings together every different idea in a box. And this makes us Democrats different from the SP.
We have another goal, the overthrow of Rama's regime, which is not simply corrupt, but a predatory system. They have set up a system of theft during the day, robbers by law.
This is an important cause for all of us Democrats. Our blood boils for the democrats, but also for the citizens because everyone is suffering at the expense of these injustices.
Today, the DP has its leader, Sali Berisha, a political prisoner, in an illegal, unconstitutional arrest, a decision made only with the aim of depriving the opposition leader of the opportunity to lead you. But this is impossible.
It is impossible for Edi Rama to separate Sali Berisha from the Democrats and the Democrats from Sali Berisha.
We know very well how the seal of the DP is held hostage for so long. It could be very simple to make another stamp, another party. It was an option.
But we all know how much effort, effort, sacrifice, and blood is in the foundations of this party that is the first to bring democracy, pluralism to a state that was a total dictatorship that did not allow opposition.
Holding this seal hostage is a criminal act by Edi Rama using a politically captured judiciary that is totally under Rama's control.
There are two imperative calls: Free Sali Berisha, free the Democratic Party.
