Former deputy of the Democratic Party, Aleksandër Biberaj, has spoken about the political situation of the Democratic Party and the issue of the establishment of investigative commissions by the opposition.
Biberaj blamed the former prime minister Sali Berisha and the party leader Lulzim Basha for the situation in which the PD is today.
According to him, today there is no new leadership in DP, but burnt cards.
"Parliamentary investigative commissions are constitutional rights. While the opposition demands the establishment of investigative commissions, the majority has the duty to approve them. We do not live in a parliamentary republic! I have been part of several investigative commissions. The opposition had every right to request the establishment of commissions and they were judged, there was no problem. This is the degradation of what little democracy is left.
Albanians are smart, they don't go out in protest, because they are burnt figures and cards. If there is new leadership, Rama is gone. As for the celebration of the establishment of the DP, I did not participate. I have nothing to remember from the establishment. That there is nothing left. I have been invited by all parties. Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha are to blame for this situation of the DP. There are only thefts in 24 hours and they come out and give morale. 10 people are left there, there is no founder left. Berisha promised to unite the party, he did not do it. He promised to leave Basha, he did not. Basha will continue to show your political deficiency.
We are here today because in 2013 there was no election, but an appointment. Basha is a political product of Berisha. All the balances are broken, and Rama does what he wants. If two years ago there was a question mark that Berisha was declared 'non grata', he should take all the responsibilities.
