The High Court is expected to hold a hearing today on the recourse that Sali Berisha's Reestablishment group has filed for the decision of March 3, where the General Appeal returned the issue of the logo and seal of the Democratic Party to the first instance.
The case will be examined by judges Artur Kalaja, Ervin Pule and Dariel Sina at 09:00.
In March of this year, the Court of Appeal decided to overturn Agron Zhukri's decision and to return the case for review at first instance with another panel. After this decision, the seal, sigla, logo of the Democratic Party remained the official PD.
With complete unanimity, the Appellate panel, composed of relator Elona Mihali and members Astrit Kalaja and Irida Kacerja, annulled the decision of March 25, 2022.
Meanwhile, today's process will be accompanied by protests called by Berisha in front of the Supreme Court, a meeting requested at 09:00 at the same moment when the Supreme Court will meet to deliver the decision, which started two years ago in December of 2021.
The first decision on the DP logo and seal was taken by the judge of Tirana, Agron Zhukri, on March 25, 2022.
He considered the Assembly that former Prime Minister Sali Berisha on December 11, 2021, to be legal.
On March 3 of this year, the Court of Appeal of Tirana decided to return the case to the First Instance, as it had previously accepted as a party the grouping of Alibeaj, commanded at that time at the head of the party by Lulzim Basha.
The Appeal decision was appealed to the Supreme Court by the Reestablishment group, while tomorrow the Supreme Court will say whether or not to uphold the appeal decision.
