Luan Baçi, the democratic deputy from the Reestablishment group, has described these measures as extreme and politically motivated.
In a direct link on the show 'Debat' by Alba Alishani, Luan Baçi says that the fact that Berisha will be allowed to communicate only with his wife and may even be banned from using social media, shows that the attack on him is political. However, as he said, no measure against the leader Sali Berisha will intimidate the democrats.
" The isolation they want to do to Sali Berisha is one more motivation for every democrat ", said Baçi, among other things.
Meanwhile, the analyst Lorenc Vangjeli emphasized that Berisha, as a former prime minister, should have chosen to follow the normal path of a judicial process and appeal at every level. This way, according to him, would give him the right to take the case to Strasbourg.
According to him, despite the fact that the opposition accuses him of the opposite, Prime Minister Edi Rama is the most vocal advocate of the former Prime Minister. This is because, as Vangjeli said, it is easier for Rama to defeat Berisha by having him in front of him. Add here, that the path to be followed with Berisha will set a precedent for other leaders of the country.
