"Bloody war in the open opposition lists", Çollaku: DP has

The open list candidate in the Tirana district, Kreshnik Çollaku, spoke about the conduct of the electoral elections on May 11.

Çollaku has spoken harshly against the electoral code, saying that it is an unfair code, for which he feels happy that he did not vote. He stated that after May 12, the code will have to be changed.

According to the DP candidate, the lack of political debate between the parties is intentional by the majority. He said that there is an almost bloody war within the party, on the open lists, and he describes it as an abnormal situation.

"Apart from the political battle of the leaders, the opposition leader and the majority leader, you don't see a political battle. In fact, the political battle is being carried on the shoulders of the candidates of the open lists, I think with some exceptions here and there. This is not for political or natural reasons; it is the system itself that imposes this. So we have 12 completely relaxed people in Tirana from two camps and we have 37 others in a bloody war.

Everyone fights as if they are the beneficiary or the general of every battle. I told you, it is an almost bloody war within the species, in the open lists, and it is an abnormal, atypical situation, in those who lead in the closed parts of the lists, which, I told you, deeply deforms the political climate. There are no political debates, despite our energy. The public should benefit from the political debate in the country. The debate against the majority with those in the opposition that does not, in fact, exist. And the genesis, in fact, is this deformed and abnormal and ugly electoral code, which does not give people opportunities. We will have to change this code from May 12 onwards ," Çollaku told "Report TV".

Çollaku continued by saying that the Democratic Party's only objective is to overthrow Edi Rama and not to increase the numbers in the opposition. If they do not overthrow Rama, according to him, it would be a failure for the DP.

"The Democratic Party has only one objective, which I think is a success, but also a failure: the overthrow of Edi Rama. If it happens, it is a political success; if it does not happen, it is a political failure. We must be honest, in this battle we are to overthrow Edi Rama, not to increase the mandates in the opposition, because no mandate in the opposition makes sense, if we do not achieve political success, for ourselves, for the opposition and for our supporters and for the people. So our success is also measured by one blow: whether we overthrow Edi Rama or not," he concluded.
