The deputy of the Democratic Party, Ina Zhupa, has reacted again about the national park of Butrint, while attacking the minister Kumbaro and Margariti.
Zhupa emphasizes that another example of spectacular failure is the environmental massacre, according to her, inside the lake, an area protected by international conventions and Albanian legislation.

As you know, since March 28, 2003 Butrint Lake has been included in the List of Lagoons of International Importance of the Ramsar Convention. According to Article 4 of this Convention, "each Contracting Party, i.e. Albania, promotes the conservation of wetlands and waterfowl by establishing natural reserves for wetlands and taking measures for their proper conservation". According to the Albanian legislation in force, Law no. 81/2017 On Protected Areas, in protected areas of international interest and which enjoy special protection as a habitat for waterfowl (Ramsar area), only traditional activities of agriculture, fishing, etc. are allowed . Any "intervention of a construction nature or other activities of any kind at a height of 1500 meters from the water line must be approved by decision of the National Council of the Territory". The transformation of the water line of Lake Butrint constitutes another scandal and spectacular failure of Mirela Kumbaro, or the architect of the infamous cultural heritage law that paved the way for the alienation of Butrint according to the appetites of the anti-Albanian Richard Hoxhe. I take the opportunity to denounce here also the concerns expressed by environmental specialists and citizens of Saranda about the discharge of waste water into Lake Butrint.
As a deputy of Saranda and in support of the will of my constituents, regardless of party beliefs, I request the initiation of a quick and in-depth investigation to identify law breakers, find responsibilities at the level of the local and central administration, stop the activities such illegal activities and the rehabilitation and return of the wetland environment and the water line to the previous state", writes Zhupa on Facebook.
