The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted after the heated debate that took place at the last meeting of the leadership, where according to sources there were high-pitched voices and clashes between deputies Ervin Salianji and Flamur Noka. In a comment made during a communication with citizens on social networks, Berisha acknowledged the tensions, but denied any rift.
" The meeting was extremely important and positive. There is no division, I guarantee you ," he said.
However, following the statement, Berisha issued strong accusations against several individuals within the DP, calling them "democrats who eat shame with bread" and who, according to him, were employed in the government administration after the elections.
" There were democrats who ran and got jobs in the crime administration. There were others who chose not to deal with politics anymore. And there are also those who flirt with the government for the contracts they have ," Berisha declared, adding that the Democratic Party will not accept any other contract than the one with Albanian citizens.
According to him, the DP is at a turning point and there is no longer room for those who use the party for personal bargaining or to fuel the noise in favor of Edi Rama. " Those who choose to become noisemakers in favor of Rama, who manipulate and cooperate with people who have run against the DP in Tirana, are fake. They have nothing in common with our ideals ," he said.
Berisha concluded his message with a call for internal mobilization and clarity of purpose: " This is the time for missionaries. The DP has only one goal: the return of free voting and the protection of the Albanian family ."
Berisha: I assure you that the meeting was extremely important and positive. There is no division, I guarantee you, but after the DP elections there were democrats who ate their bodies with bread and ran and got jobs in the crime administration. There were others who decided not to deal with politics anymore, but to pursue their lives. There were others who flirt with the government for the contracts they have. I want to tell you that this party has and will have only one goal, the ideal of freedom, the return of the free vote. This party will not stand for anyone's contracts. Our contract is with the citizens, for democracy, the family and Albania. So you should not have any concerns. Those who choose to become noisy in favor of Edi Rama, deceiving, manipulating elements that have openly worked against the SP and the SP deputies. There have even been candidates in the Tirana municipality against the DP candidates, they are fake, they have nothing in common with our ideals. This is the time of missionaries.
