The troubles for Prime Minister Edi Rama are increasing. International media continue to publish information and documents regarding the affair with former FBI agent McGonigal.
The British tabloid has published several documents and e-mails, which include Albania and Bosnia.
"Daily Mail" points out that the investigations into Rama's account, which were carried out by McGonigal, have cost American taxpayers. So it seems that it is about the matter of PD lobbying and other matters that McGonigal investigated to serve the Albanian government.
" The internal review found it to have been a major undertaking, requiring an unnecessary expenditure of significant government resources ," the FBI memo said.
In support of this fact, prosecutors attached a letter from an FBI agent in which some identifying information was redacted.
The letter is dated March 16, 2018, and the official who wrote it asks: "Why, given limited resources and the fact that many field offices are struggling to investigate more serious threats, does the New York office request that an investigation be opened into the record-keeping deficiencies like FARA, presenting this as a threat to national security?”
" I would like to explain to them why we are working on a SIM/FARA issue related to Albania, when every day I fight for resources on some national security issues that are related to some high threat countries like. .. ", says the letter where the names of other countries are deleted.
According to the FBI, this essentially amounts to corruption that undermines transparency and confidence in the integrity of the Executive Branch of government.
