The deputy of the Democratic Party, Ervin Salianji from Gjirokastra, said that this government is immersed in violence and that Albanian taxpayers' money goes to people with criminal records.
Salianji said that the directorates and ministries with the biggest budget have been revealed to the citizens.
"You have seen that these days the directorates and ministers with the biggest budgets, the government and the municipalities have been revealed. They are naked in the eyes of the public as immersed in abuses and extortion of taxpayers' money. It is the occasion here today to discuss how even a municipality that was taken violently in your district, the municipality in Libohova, as the current mayor, was involved in drug trafficking. He had turned into a law breaker and an accomplice of traffickers and today he leads a community. Is today the day that, in a normal situation, the government, the prime minister, the minister apologize to the citizens of Gjirokastra. Are we in the same situation as the mayor of Tepelena, functionally illiterate? Are we today in front of the facts where hundreds of millions of euros in health, roads, incinerators, agriculture, where farmers should have received money from European taxpayers in addition to Albanian taxpayers, which have also gone to people with criminal records. For this reason, the funds of the AZHBR have been blocked, due to the investigations, leaving the farmers and ranchers without assistance, because only the government wants to receive the money", said the DP deputy.
Also, Salianji said that he encourages the Special Prosecutor's Office not to stay in the antechamber, but to enter the powerful people, where, as he said, the fish stinks.
"How is it possible that three quarters of Edi Rama's associates in the municipality and government are facing justice today, while Rama and his political leaders are not. Can they eat pears and plums without Rama's knowledge? We have voted the consensus for the new justice. We have encouraged that the day will come when SPAK does not stop at the door of the important people of this country, but kicks open the door and enters the most powerful people of this country, to bring them to justice and not to find every option to avoid those who are responsible for the affairs in the country. SPAK should go to the head, where even the fish stinks in this country," said Salianji.
