The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Gazmend Bardhi, during his speech at the plenary session, spoke about the OLAF report and the rejection of the request for a motion with debate regarding this issue.
Bardhi said the motion was requested after an official OLAF report and not based on hints or rumors.
He added that this report should have been made available to the Ministry of Agriculture and if it has not been made available, then according to him this ministry has been declared a "crime scene". Bardhi emphasized that whoever abused EU funds will go to prison.
Bardhi further stated that farmers are waiting for the unblocking of funds and have no time to lose.
"First, there is an official notification in the anti-fraud office in the EU, which states that it has informed the responsible authorities on the final report of OLAF regarding the abuses of the agricultural fund.
I don't know what you need for something more official. The minister must have received the official OLAF report, if they haven't brought it to you, it means they don't have confidence. If they declared it a crime scene to the Ministry of Agriculture, I think they could not have made it available to him. The fact is that the report is final and the debate motion requested by DP is based on an official announcement. Any information written in the request for debate is neither a hint nor a rumor, but an official report.
In this report, it is emphasized that after the investigation of the denounced cases, it was noticed that the responsible institutions of Albania abused the 33 million euro fund. As a result, this fund is considered inappropriate and it is suggested to the EC to suspend the new 112 million euro fund, money that would have to go to farmers.
The opposition reached out to the majority, so that we can come together, analyze the findings of the OLAF report and approve the measures in order to unlock the funds. If we had used this issue for politics, we would have simply pointed the finger.
Will we wait years until SPAk clears responsibility to unlock the funds? Whoever abused will go to jail, our duty is to make the fund effective an hour earlier.
Farmers ask us today what you are doing to unlock the funds. We will tell you do we have time? We will take a vacation, then in September-October we will talk, let's see what we can do for you. They have no time to waste," said Bardhi.
