Ervin Salianji held a meeting with democrats and supporters in the city of Kukës, following his tour of several cities in the country.
During his speech to supporters, he harshly criticized the way internal processes in the Democratic Party have been managed.
Salianji stated that candidates who received the most votes in the primaries were not included in the lists for deputies, implying that the decision-making did not reflect the will of the membership. According to him, this phenomenon is also being reflected in the meetings in the field, while adding that the candidates with the most votes are not part of the race.
He also criticized the discourse within the opposition, emphasizing that responsibility for the losses should not be attributed solely to the political opponent.
"We cannot say that Rama defeated us, but we must be the ones to defeat him," said Salianji, referring to statements made during the Democratic Party's recent protest.
The former MP then leveled accusations against senior DP leaders, claiming that their lack of reaction is related to personal interests and privileges stemming from positions in the party and parliament.
The meeting in Kukës is part of a series of activities that Salianji is holding in various cities, while internal debates in the Democratic Party continue to remain present on the political scene.
