Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has condemned SPAK's actions towards journalist Elton Qyno. The latter was held hostage for 10 hours, pressuring him to reveal sources of information. Berisha writes that SPAK must stop terrorizing journalists.

I strongly condemn this criminal act, the hostage-taking of the journalist Qyno, and demand his immediate release as well as the strict legal punishment of the authors of this act, which constitutes a serious attack on the freedom of the media and state kidnapping of the journalist Elton Qyno.
I call on the national and international media as well as organizations that deal with media freedom to stand in solidarity with the journalist Qyno and strongly condemn the narco-regime of Tirana and the scapegoat as its tool ", said Berisha.
