The elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, has stated that the violations of the law and the theft of votes, for which he is accused and is being held in prison, are simply imaginary.
Beleri made his comments through a link to the show "Now with Erla Mëhillin" on Euronea Albania, where he said that the Municipality of Himara is being held hostage by a coalition of property thieves.
But he promised that they will not succeed in "seizing" the Himara Municipality, since according to him, the Himariotes are stubborn and determined in their right.
" Legal equality does not work here. The entire Albanian public opinion is being manipulated as if Greece is falling on the neck of the entire Albanian people to protect a man who, according to them, stole votes.
The Greek state has the files and you wouldn't get into such a big debate if it believed that I am guilty or have violated the law in this matter. The violations of the law are fictional, staged, but I believe the truth will come out. Why should the City Hall be held by people who are holding it today? It's something everyone should think about.
The coalition of property thieves, on one side are property thieves, illegal constructions and tender abusers and on the other hand the people of Himara. I guarantee them here that they will not succeed, because the Himariots are stubborn, they have a history and they will not back down ," Beleri said.
