Former MP Ervin Salianji has spoken again about the situation within the Democratic Party, in the conditions where he was not allowed to run for party leader against Sali Berisha.
Salianji declared that he will initiate procedures for his expulsion from the Democratic Party.
" Others have taken the statute issue to court. I will start the procedure for expulsion from the party tomorrow. I will not leave any battle unfought ," he said.
The former MP emphasized that the DP cannot be treated as personal property and that it represents the sacrifice of the Democrats over the years.
" The DP cannot be treated as property and I do not accept this. It is the sacrifice, the work and the blood of many democrats, of many Albanian families and it is the wealth of Albanians. I will not give up this battle easily ," declared Salianji.
He made strong accusations against Berisha, claiming that the current leader of the DP is illegally leading the party.
" Sali Berisha today is a usurper, he is not the leader of the DP. He is illegally holding the party. He has been illegally at the head of the party since September ," said Salianji on "Studio24".
