DP MP, Ina Zhupa, has leveled accusations against the Director of the State Police, Ilir Proda, while raising concerns about the escalation of criminal events in the city of Saranda and the lack of effective response from law enforcement structures.
Zhupa emphasized that Saranda has become a hotbed of public insecurity, not only during the tourist season, but also in the last months of autumn, where cases of kidnappings, injuries, murders and explosions have been frequent.
Zhupa emphasized that it is necessary for the State Police to intervene immediately, monitor the terrain and take proactive measures to prevent crimes, being a precursor to events and not just reacting after them.
The Democrat also requested that authorities intensify their presence on the ground and implement regular checks to ensure peace and security in Saranda.
"Continuous criminal incidents have become a refrain in the city of Saranda, where since the tourist season and now in the first months of autumn, kidnappings, injuries, murders, and explosions continue, which endanger the lives of the residents of the city of Saranda.
As a member of parliament for Saranda, I have often shared the public concern about this situation, asking the Ministry of Interior through the state police structures to react. To control and monitor the terrain in the city of Saranda.
"The State Police must react to prevent events, to be the precursor to what will happen in Saranda, and not to count the victims after the event has occurred," said Ina Zhupa.
