The protest called by the Democratic Party ended after about an hour and a half filled with speeches from senior DP leaders.
The end of Sali Berisha's speech also marked the end of the protest. Berisha left on foot towards the DP headquarters, accompanied by DP supporters and MPs.
While leaving the protest, Berisha passed in front of the Parliament and declared to the media that the symbolism of this itinerary is to show that their target will be the Prime Minister-Parliament-Surrel trinity.
It is worth noting that after Berisha's departure, the atmosphere in front of the Prime Minister's Office became tense as some protesters threw Molotov cocktails at the Prime Minister's Office building and others pulled down the fence surrounding the building. However, despite minor incidents, the protest ended without serious clashes.
