The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, from prison 313 where he has been in solitary confinement since his arrest, said that SPAK people had been suggesting him to escape for a year.
In an interview for the show "Now" on "Euronews Albania", according to Meta, the goal was to avoid him from the opposition action and the refusal led to his kidnapping and isolation.
"Yes, it is very true that people from the regime and SPAK have been suggesting me for a year, not to help me, but to avoid me from the opposition and patriotic action. This is proven by the fact that after my public rejections, they activated a false process to kidnap and isolate me from the opposition, as I explained above ," he said.
Meta emphasized that there are no official charges filed against him and that everything is based on guesses of incriminated persons and with problems with justice.
" I repeat to you that they have no charges, no evidence or criminal facts against me, I am presumed innocent and under these conditions the punishment exists only in the perverse minds of those who conceived and executed this plan of political kidnapping to perpetuate Albania as a colony of Soros and the international mafia ", said Meta.
