Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku commented on the government's 2025 budget. She emphasized that a different economic model and a different tax policy are now needed.
Tabaku said that the 2025 budget paves the way for money laundering through the construction sector. According to her, this economic model does not take economic spending where it is needed, but sends it to the same hands that have seized the economy.
"The economy needs to be seen in a different light. A model that is stimulated by a tax policy. A model that has nothing to do with the budget that will come next week to the Parliament. The decrease in the exchange rate is destroying the fashion sector. There are 75,000 employees who can be thrown into the streets. What is the government's response? It is the only budget that has formalized money laundering because it is based on the growth of construction. These concerns, even on behalf of the parliamentary group, appear more real than ever in the budget today. These need to be heard by politics.
How many times they come out in informality actions have failed. The tax structure affects informality and does not support work. I talked and argued with middle class people. Their main question is when we will be able to leave. Let's work in another country with these qualities we have. This economic model from a few hands that is no longer producing for 95% of the citizens.
This economic model does not get those economic expenditures where they are needed. It doesn't get agricultural spending where it needs to be. It is distributing them with tolls for electoral campaigns. It leads to the same hands that have seized the economy. We have to change the reality by giving an economic offer that they want to implement", said Tabaku from the Assembly.
