Edi Rama has changed course 180 degrees regarding SPAK. After Veliaj's arrest, the prime minister launched an exemplary attack on the new judiciary and especially the Special Prosecution Office. Rama attempted to use Veliaj's arrest as a maneuver to get his hands on the new judiciary, also taking advantage of developments in the US.
But Rama's rhetoric lasted a few weeks and suddenly sent a message to the SP deputies to stop mentioning SPAK and stop acting as Veliaj's lawyer. Since that day, Rama not only does not attack SPAK, but now appears to us as its defender to prevent the "swamp owl" from melting it.
Rama also touched on the work of SPAK today. Introducing the SP candidates in Shkodra, Rama said that he does not regret those he has sent behind bars. He is even proud because this shows that the reform is progressing.
" First of all, since we entered the sea on foot, we knew what we were looking for and we also knew that things would go as they are going, more or less. I say more or less, even on the part of the new justice system there are errors, blunders, there are mistakes, but they are normal. The general thing is historic. A turning point that must continue and we must give our support. Not only should we not feel bad, from a human point of view, it is not good for a person when someone they have worked with is in front of the prosecutor's office and the court, but from the point of view of service to the homeland, from the point of view of the ambition to make history that even the fate of Europe has coincided at one point, we should be proud of this fact ," said Rama.
But why has Babloku completely changed course? According to information, after Veliaj's arrest, Rama ordered the polling company that works for him to measure public opinion. In the end, it turned out that the socialists and citizens not only did not support his statements, but had increased their trust in SPAK.
This scared Rama, because if he continued with the attacks, his campaign points would be reduced and now he has changed course. But it does not mean that Babloku really supports SPAK, because if the opportunity arises, he will try to attack it again.
