"You have no connection with the DP"/ Salianji responds harshly to
Ervin Salianji

Former Democratic Party MP, Ervin Salianji, reacted to the statements of DP leader, Sali Berisha, who said that he has no connection with the party.

Through a post on social media, Salianji opposed this stance and emphasized that affiliation with the Democratic Party is not determined by formal decisions or public statements. He argued that political contributions and confrontations are the real indicator of affiliation.

Salianji stated that the Democratic Party represents a broad community of supporters and cannot be treated as individual property. He noted that citizens are looking for an opposition that is organized to win, not a political force that engages in internal debates.

In his reaction, he announced that he will continue meetings with Democrats in various cities to present a platform aimed at reorganizing and strengthening the party.

In recent weeks, Salianji has held several meetings with his supporters, while the Democratic Party has not considered these activities as official initiatives of its structures. These movements have led to clashes and opposing positions within the party ranks.

" I have no need to prove my connection to the Democratic Party. My contribution, my struggle, the sacrifices that I have made like few others are public and known to every Democrat."

The Democratic Party is not a personal property nor an instrument to stifle dissent. It is the political home of thousands of democrats who have sacrificed for pluralism, for freedom and for confronting Edi Rama. The connection with it is not measured by stamps and declarations, but by attitudes, by real confrontation and by victory in the face of the corrupt regime.

Today, citizens don't ask who is excluding whom. They ask why the opposition doesn't win. Why doesn't it inspire? Why isn't it organized as a governing alternative, but is content with rhetoric and justifications.

Albania needs an opposition that wins, not an opposition that wastes energy on internal conflicts. It needs openness, reorganization, and leadership that unites, not narrows.

"I will continue meetings with Democrats and present a concrete platform to make the Democratic Party stronger, more open and more competitive. No one can rule out the Democrats' will for change. Calmness, responsibility and determination are my path. Disunity is not an alternative. Victory is ," Salianji writes.
