Member of the municipal council of the SP, Halit Valteri, commented on the presentation of the mayor Erion Veliaj to SPAK for the incinerator of Tirana.
Valteri said that Veliaj did not seem at all worried about the situation, while he emphasized that he has a duty to go to SPAK to make clarifications.
" We are not afraid of Gaz Bardhat. There is nothing else to do. The mayor didn't seem worried at all. He has an obligation to go to SPAK. He has the duty to go to SPAK to make clarifications ", said Valteri for Report TV.
If SPAK had an indication that Veliaj violated the law, according to Valter, he would not have spared him.
" If Veliaj has violated the law, he must give an account before the law. Here we have a justice that does not ask about Veliaj or Rama or Meta and Berisha. SPAK belongs to the Americans, it is an American investment, and it will not know who you are. If SPAK had a small clue that Veliaj was involved in these scandals, it would not spare him. If we had had an inch of evidence that Veliaj was involved, they would not have spared him ," he said.
Lawyer Parparim Çaça had a different approach. Referring to Veliaj's statement, who said that he felt more relieved after appearing in the SPAK, the lawyer said that he was busy.
" He seemed a little relaxed to me. It seemed as if a weight had been lifted, he was quite busy and went and gave all the clarifications he wanted. Is it true that he was called two or three times to SPAK and did not go and then asked to go? This is to be explained. If SPAK has called him even as a person who has knowledge, if he does not go, he will be escorted by force to go ," he said.
