Immediately after the scandal broke where he called Albanians in North Macedonia idiots, Minister Ferit Hoxha deleted the message in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs group.
It was the leader of the Democratic parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, who published the photo showing Minister Hoxha's deleted message.
"Denial, deleting messages, attacking whistleblowers (fortunately, it is not just one person who has reacted to the Minister's scandalous stance) is not the way to solve the situation. The Prime Minister has all the tools at his disposal to verify the message and delete it. At least once in his political life, Edi Rama should behave with honor and dismiss the Foreign Minister," Bardhi wrote on Facebook.
A little while ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also rushed to deny the news it received, saying that the published material "has no connection to reality" and that the communication presented is fabricated.

Calling the Albanians of North Macedonia "idiots" in a communication with ambassadors is not a slip of the tongue. It is a political mentality. There is no fabrication. There is only an arrogant and unworthy Foreign Minister.
His idiotic behavior is exactly the model of this government: First it despises. Then it victimizes. Finally it denies.
The hypocrisy of the Foreign Minister, who in public pretends to care about Albanians abroad, but in private conversations despises Albanians, shows the symptom of this government: they don't want to care about Albanians abroad, nor Albanians at home.
A minister who speaks with this humiliating, contemptuous, and denigrating language may represent the arrogance of a government that has lost all connection with reality, but he represents neither Albania nor the nation.
I also strongly condemn the camouflaged public threat to the ambassadors, in the group with whom he sent the denigrating message to Albanians.
Those who denounce contempt deserve protection. The only one who should be held accountable and who has violated the constitutional oath is the Foreign Minister.
