"Edi Rama and Sali Berisha have an agreement between them. The agreement is a way of understanding that I will make concessions here and you will make concessions here." This is what former socialist MP Spartak Braho said, commenting on the political situation in the country, while stating that Edi Rama cannot be overthrown by protests, as they have no objective.
On Report TV, Braho expressed his opinion that there is a silent pact between Prime Minister Rama and the Leader of the Democratic Party, Berisha, where each maintains their positions, while mutual concessions are made. In this context, Braho stated that Shkëlzen Berisha, the son of the former Prime Minister, is obtaining construction permits as if his father were in government and not in opposition.
"He gets building permits just like his father in power. Agreements to survive and gain financially. The people know all this, agreements will be forced to make for the New Electoral Code, there will be concessions for the electoral system," says Braho.
For the former socialist MP, the DP can never come to power with Sali Berisha at the helm.
"The DP does not win elections with Berisha, a candidate like the one from Bulgaria and Hungary has not yet been born in Albania. What is he voted for? To become party leader. It is an illusion that some people have come out of the blue, like Alimehmeti or Salianji, but they are running in vain. For Salianji to run, he must receive the approval of the DP, while he appears to be excluded," Braho emphasizes.
Meanwhile, the former socialist MP also comments on the situation in the SP, emphasizing that Erion Braçe is the only socialist who can bring renewal to the SP.
Braho considers the criticism of Elisa Spiropali, the former Foreign Minister, as "a revolt of the times."
"Spiropali is a rebel of the time. I have known her since she was with "Mjaft", even in 2008 when the LSI and several other parties went on strike, she came willingly and signed a petition to the Constitutional Court to overturn that decision. She became part of the SP, Spiropali, Veliaj. Rama seduced them, attracted them. She is just a voice like that.
"I regret Braca's commitment, he is a typical socialist, representing true socialists. An interesting figure, I hope he will be among the strong voices that can bring about some change or renewal of the leadership of the SP. There is no other way, where are the old figures of the SP", says Braho.
