Prime Minister Edi Rama, also the leader of the Socialist Party, in the course of the campaign for the May 11 elections, stopped in Lezha where he held a meeting with women and girls.
Rama continued the jokes by saying that men who don't listen to women are whiners and will remain so as long as they don't listen to women.
"Without my wife, I am like an illegal building," said Rama.
The Prime Minister stated that those men who are not "squeamish" should listen to women and vote for the Socialist Party and Albania's integration into the European Union, calling on them not to support the "Swamp" - a term he has used to describe the opposition.
"Without my wife, I am an illegal building. Whoever does not accept that he is a syryk and does not listen to his wife, let him remain a syryk, what can we say. But those men who are not syryks, listen to their wives and do not vote for the Swamp, but for the Socialist Party of Albania and integration into the European Union", said the Head of Government.
He further considered May 11 as the opportunity Albania has to advance its EU membership agenda.
"If we don't close the negotiations in 2027, we have to wait until 2037 to do this. Is it worth betting on May 11? Let's go back to the Çyryks. What does that democrat gain by taking the vote and throwing it in the swamp? Nothing good comes, on the contrary, worse. Look at the story of the swamp owl, every time the owl comes, it doesn't come for good, but for bad," said Rama.
He further stated that those who have a problem voting for the SP should stay home on May 11th, not go to the swamp to cast their vote.
"He comes and says that my grandfather was shot by the communist regime, as if I shot him with Ulsi. His grandfather is turning in his grave when he sees that his grandson is going to vote in the swamp," said Rama.
