Paloka: Berisha's 'non grata' has fallen, the signal comes from

The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Democratic Party, Edi Paloka, declared that the lifting of the "non-grata" sanction against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha "has practically happened", emphasizing that the political situation in the US has changed and past decisions are being reviewed.

Invited to the News24 studio, Paloka mentioned a similar case in Hungary, where according to him, one of Prime Minister Viktor Orban's closest associates was removed from the "non-grata" list just a day ago.

He described the decision as a signal that the "non grata" imposed by the Biden administration and former Secretary of State Antony Blinken had a political motive to hit center-right figures.

"For Sali Berisha, the non-grata has practically fallen. The people who have described this decision as a political blow, today lead the USA. But bureaucracy is another thing. For Berisha, it could happen next week, in a month... I don't know," said Paloka.
