The DP Parliamentary Group will hold its first meeting, where the parliamentary strategy of this force is expected to be determined, but also who the leaders of the body of deputies will be.
The meeting of the DP Parliamentary Group will be held at the end of the meeting of the SP National Assembly, where Edi Rama is expected to make public the names of the ministers, but also the Speaker of the Assembly and the leader of the socialist parliamentary group.
And while the Socialists are convening the Assembly at 11:00 AM at the Palace of Congresses, the Democrats have called a meeting of the Parliamentary Group at 1:00 PM at the DP headquarters.
After the Presidency, which decided that the DP should enter Parliament and take the mandates, today the Parliamentary Group is expected to decide on the name that will lead the parliamentary body. The question is whether or not Gazment Bardhi will continue to hold the position of Chairman of the Parliamentary Group, although several names are circulating in the DP headquarters that are seen as alternatives to take on this function. Based on the DP's status, the head of the Parliamentary Group is automatically the vice-chairman of the party, just like the vice-chairman of Parliament.
But so far this point of the statute has been overlooked and it is not known whether it will continue in the same way until the spring of 2026, when the Democrats will elect their leadership forums, after the 4-year terms end.
