Adriatik Lapaj has removed his father from the list of candidates for MPs of the "Albania Becomes Initiative" coalition for the Berat District, after the numerous criticisms he received online.
Lapaj's coalition candidates are all running on open lists, and in the closed section, names of their family members have been fictitiously placed, as in the case of Lapaj's father, who was placed at the top of the safe list for the Berat Region.
This is done after the latter finally burn their mandate and the mandate passes to the candidates whose names are on the open list.
Since the publication of the lists, Lapaj has tried to clarify and convince public opinion of this goal, but it seems that he has not been able to withstand the criticism and has decided to definitively remove his father from this electoral strategy.
