The mayors of Rama have begun to collect the state budget well. Taking advantage of the VKM for salary increases, they have started to take their salaries and those who follow them into the stratosphere.
A few days ago, it emerged that the mayor of Durrës, Emiriana Sako, has increased her salary by 57 percent, bringing it to 2.9 million ALL. The mayor of Fier, Armando Subashi, did the same, who increased the salary by one digit, in a meeting of the municipal council held away from the eyes of the media.
Subashi made his monthly salary 2.9 million lek (old), while the three vice presidents, Adela Hysenaj, Andius Olldashi and Eleni Gjikondaj will be paid 2.2 million lek (old) per month. This is an increase of over 80 percent.
As for administrators of local units and directors of directorates, the increase will be 22 to 25 percent. While for the councilors themselves who "stamped" the decision, the increase will be 10%.
From this increase, 817 service workers, such as drivers, storekeepers, sanitary workers, etc., were excluded, who will continue to receive minimum wage.
But the opposition has also become part of the bargain. The councilors of the opposition have raised the cards and voted the decisions, as they benefit themselves, as there will be an increase in wages for them as well. This is the second dirty bargain between SP and DP. Initially, they combined the votes to increase the salaries of MPs by 3 million lek, now they combine the votes to increase the salaries of the mayors.
The problem is not wage growth, but greed. Both Sako and Subashi have increased their salary to the maximum limit allowed by VKM./ Pamphlet
