The former prime minister, Sali Berisha, during the meeting of the National Council, accused Lulzim Basha and Enkelejd Alibeaj as one of the factors that influenced the result of the May 14 elections.
During his speech, Berisha said that Lulzim Basha and Enkelejd Alibeaj are Edi Rama's crutches, stressing that in cooperation with the government, they stole his seal.
Berisha further said that the May 14 elections took place in conditions of inequality and therefore he will not recognize their result.
" Those were the first elections, in which for the first time the fierce enemy of the free vote of the Albanians publicly declared the Electoral Code as Chinese, annihilated every protection that this code guarantees to the participants in the electoral race.
Together with the Electoral Code, Edi Rama violated all constitutional criteria and principles.

But, before we move on to other aspects of the electoral farce, I am here in front of you telling the democrats and all Albanians that this extreme inequality that I spoke about above is enough to turn any election process into an electoral farce. The result should not and can never be accepted" , said Berisha.
