Bankers Petrolium has embezzled 12-15 billion euros from the Albanian underground and has not paid taxes for 21 years. This was stated by former DP MP Myslim Murrizi, commenting on the arrest of company officials a few days ago by order of the Fier Prosecutor's Office.
Murrizi said from the News24 studio that the investigation regarding Bankers should be conducted by SPAK, while expressing suspicions of a "dirty market".
He describes Bankers as the most abusive concessionaire towards Albanians.
" The company is reputable and prestigious and should be investigated by SPAK. The Fier Prosecutor's Office has taken over this work and I take this opportunity to thank this prosecutor for the work that has been done. I have spoken about the Bankers affair since 2020. The investigation into Bankers should begin immediately.
The district prosecutor's offices are dependent on the government. I suspect there is a dirty bargain. Did Bankers come out with a loss? This is a mockery of the state.
Bankers has not paid any taxes in 21 years. For me, 12-15 billion euros have been stolen from the Albanian underground. Coming out with a loss and not declaring bankruptcy, this is controversial, it does not work. I am a founder of the DP and I was not part of the Democratic Party government at all. In 2005 I was replaced by a State Security spy. Concessions were also given during the SP government. The most abusive concession at the expense of Albanians is Bankers Petroleum ", said Murrizi.
