Democratic leader Sali Berisha began his "Foltore" tour today, where he met with Democrats from branches 8 and 9 in the capital.
Analyst Frrok Çupi, invited to "Tirana Live", emphasized that the Democratic Party was created as an anti-communist party, but the absurdity lay in the fact that a communist was appointed at its head.
According to him, the Democratic Party has only won one election since its creation, in 1992.
He also commented on the internal movements in the DP, while saying that the main problem of this party is that it has brought the same actors out of the stage without producing anything new for the public.
"It has won a record, the record that was the anti-communist party with the communist in charge. It won one election in 1992, with a considerable number of deputies, and it has not won any other election, and it has been in existence for 30 or so years without winning."
"His positions are shaky, they are lifeless, they are untenable, because it is no longer happening. The Democrats are eager to have a movement. Could this be Salianji or another? In the DP, the same actors come and go on stage. I can't say that it is secret, I can't say that it is in agreement, Berisha has no energy for an agreement, because he has gone to the end," he said.
During the studio discussion, Çupi stated that the Democratic Party is in a clinical state, for which time has run out.
"The PD, especially during protests, is in a clinical state and the doctor is used to having all the patients come to him and now the doctor doesn't even have patients come. The doctor is forced to go from room to room to meet his patients and try to revive them, but this is difficult."
The DP has lost reality. It is in a lost time. The DP has a different astronomy, the country has a different astronomy.
"Its time was an anti-communist slogan and in 30 years it could not defeat communism. The DP has closed the cycle and is out of reality. It has not been democratic from the beginning. The forces of the DP were the workers and the students, but it lost them too," he said.
