Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj has reacted from his cell regarding news of his clash with Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding the delegation of the mayor's powers.
Through a post on Facebook, Veliaj stated that it was all a misunderstanding due to the lack of information in the cell.
Vealiaj claims that he had created the idea that the name he had signed had been agreed upon, which has not turned out to be the case. Veliaj said that his relationship with Rama is good. The mayor also stressed that after being informed about the situation, he has returned the powers to Anuela Ristan.
" I was informed that there was a lot of media hype about my clash with Rama, over delegation matters. For once, I only want to meet with Rama to talk about business as usual and nothing else comes to mind."
Second, I signed a redelegation with the mistaken idea that it was agreed upon within the management team, but that's what happens when you "work" without sufficient information.
"Lastly, search and dig wherever you want now, because this has become a sport thanks to my beloved prosecutor, but in my relationship with Rama, you are completely useless, because it is molded in old times and no time can change it, no matter how cursed it is. The delegation has returned to where it was and this is where the misunderstanding ends," Veliaj writes.
