During today's parliamentary session, the two MPs Sorina Koti from DP and Olta Xhaçka from SP, both representatives from the district of Korça, exchanged remarks with each other.
Koti stated that extreme poverty prevails in the city of Kolonje, while he directed accusations at Xhačka, asking what she has done for the area.
She added that the socialist deputy and the mayor of Cologne benefit from private constructions, while the citizens do not benefit from anything.
On the other hand, Xhaçka responded by saying that "you really have the courage to speak brochkulla", while he justified the constructions and investments with the argument that they are not to the detriment of the citizens of the area.
According to her, Kolonja has seen a revitalization like no other area, while at the end she invited Koti, saying that she is welcome in the hostels of the area.
Sorina Koti: As a deputy of the Korçë district, I will speak for Kolonje. I go there often and it is one of the municipalities that is unfortunately one of the poorest areas. The high emigration is suffering the most. In Cologne there are only old people and few young people who survive in extreme poverty. The assets of the area are for its governors, not for the residents. They tell me this every time I go. What has MP Xhaçka done today for Kolonje, because she is a deputy of the area?
Korçë Erseke street was also demolished after it was built. How can you build in such a beautiful area and not benefit the citizens, but those like the deputy lady and the mayor Isai who have built private guesthouses, have privatized the spas of Leskovik because in the end here wealth cannot only benefit the rulers, but all areas.
Olta Xhaçka: I think you really need courage to come and speak Brochkula, not like being a deputy of Korça, but like being a tourist of the area. We have a lot of respect for tourists, we treat them well, in Cologne, everywhere. To come out here and have the impudence to claim that private investments are at the expense of the citizens of Cologne is heresy. To say that there are investors, people who want to contribute to the economy of that area, and this is a sin, I don't know what to call it. Cologne has seen a revitalization like no other area. If the lady represented him, she would know. Madam, I invite you to come and see Cologne for what it is, we will welcome you in the many hostels that are opening in that area. We will take it very seriously.
