Former candidate for deputy and former vice-chair of the Democratic Party in Fier, Zamira Mernica, has reacted regarding the recent developments within the DP and the holding of the primaries. She has criticized the decision to replace Luan Baçi with Gazmend Bardhi as political leader in this branch.
In a post on social media, Mernica calls this decision a mistake, adding that replacing Baç with Bardhi sealed the DP's defeat.
"Honorable Mr. Luan Baci, you should never have been replaced with Gazmend Bardhi, without having something personal, but in my opinion, the DP sealed its defeat in Fier with the Political Leader who helped destroy the DP years ago, just like back then with gas and sticks," she writes.

As a former candidate for MP, former Vice-Chair of the Democratic Party Fier Branch, attentive to the development of the Primaries, I want to express my opinion in this situation that is perhaps decisive for the future of the DP, pointing the finger at "My Political Enemy".
Honorable Mr. Luan Baci, you should never have been replaced with Gazmend Bardhi, without having something personal, but in my opinion, the DP sealed its defeat in Fier with the Political Leader who helped destroy the DP years ago, just like back then with gas and sticks.
Mr. Baci, you owe it to me as your opponent, and to all the honest democrats of Fier, to save the DP and restore its dignity.
