Clashes in the DP, from suspicions of vote manipulation to attacks on Tabaku;

While the vote recount process has been underway in Tirana for 5 days, clashes continue in the Democratic Party. Recently, messages were leaked in the WhatsApp group of candidates for MP in the May 11 elections.

Besim Kuka, one of the candidates on the open list, writes in this group that he was notified by Jorida Tabaku that during the recount his votes had gone to Akil Kraja, another name on the open list, who holds the position of chief of staff to the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.

"They are falsifying or making mistakes in the counting. Jorida is sending a message saying: "In VC no. 1670 in the Zall-Bastar unit, in the minutes there were 18 votes for candidate Besim Kuka and these recounters took them away and put them on candidate Akil Kraja. I have respect for Akil, but my votes don't have to go to him! It's not that they are interfering with our work, but this is injustice. We don't know what happened in other VCs!", Kuka writes in the WhatsApp group.

But it seems that the mention of Tabaku's name, which results in the most votes from the DP's open list for the Tirana District, and also receiving the mandate on May 11, has irritated Adriana Kalana, another candidate on this party's open list in Tirana.

"Who is Jorida," writes Kalaja, while Kuka replies, "Adriana, greetings! Jorida sent me an SMS saying she had noticed an error in a VC for me. That was it."

"I understood that, but I didn't understand who the person was talking about. Was it the same person who called us murderers before the campaign and scum during the campaign? I wanted to clarify that. Then we have the beautiful Albanian word Sude," Kalaja replies.

The latter has long been in an open 'war' with Jorida Tabaku, while suspicions have been raised that behind the DP candidate, who also heads what is known as the Court of this political force, stands the Democratic leader, Sali Berisha himself, who directs the attacks. Regarding Tabaku, Kalaja raised allegations that she received votes with the help of the regime, as she describes Edi Rama.
