Moments of tension were recorded today in the premises of the Complaints and Sanctions Commission (KAS), where MP Asllan Dogjani was forcibly removed by police forces, after a verbal clash with members of this institution. The incident occurred in the context of the review of complaints on the election results, where Dogjani demanded transparency and a re-evaluation of the vote.
In a strong statement to the media, Dogjani accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of a mafia takeover of the state and of trying to silence critical voices. “Look at what a dictatorship! Albania is coming to an end. People, stand up, let's eliminate the thieves, let's eliminate those who are turning the country into a dictatorship. Rama has been taken hostage by the national and international mafia and has sold out the interests of the citizens,” he said in high-pitched tones.
According to him, efforts to establish justice and protect the right to vote are being systematically suppressed by state structures. This event further aggravates the tense political climate after the elections, while the opposition denounces massive manipulations and a lack of institutional will for an honest investigation.
