Besnik Jakaj, the secretary for the diaspora in the Freedom Party, has spoken about the arrest of Ilir Meta.
In "Noë with Erla Mëhillin" he said that the president of the Freedom Party, Meta has publicly clarified the accusations made by SPAK.
Jakaj said that he is completely worried not only as a representative of the Freedom Party, but also as a citizen about the arrest under immunity of the former president of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, while he also accused that SPAK's investigations are, according to him, "sheets lightning" unfounded against the former president.
" The former president of the republic has exhausted in his public clarifications what the Special Prosecutor's office has in the file of the President of Liberty. There are other former prime ministers and former presidents accused, for example Trump has over 40 charges, but he is not in prison, but he is in a political race. Therefore, for the Freedom Party, for the free and untrammeled Albanian citizens, the President of the Freedom Party is a political prisoner, without evidence or facts.
One of the ridiculous accusations in that lightning sheet of SPAK is that it was lobbied for a law, at the time when Mr. Meta was the Speaker of the Assembly, Rama has the votes and Meta is accused of this ," said Jakaj.
