Democratic Party MP Saimir Korreshi raised concerns about the situation in the healthcare system, especially in Lushnja, during his speech at the plenary session in the Assembly, accompanying them with ironic tones.
He also criticized the discussions on the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, suggesting that the changes aim to limit the speaking time for MPs. Korreshi demanded that the Minister of Health be summoned to the Assembly to provide explanations on the situation in hospitals.
"You tell us to come and see the Rules of Procedure, but it's like reducing the time for MPs to speak, because the new colleagues got bored of us speaking for 10 minutes. Do you have the number to call the Minister of Health, because she really has gone to Europe, but I want to tell her that you can't enter Europe without cotton and iodine, without mammography and ultrasound that don't work in Lushnja, because we are taking it to Lushnja and all the Lushnja residents are coming out," he said.
According to Korreshi, shortages in basic health services remain a serious problem, and he called for more attention and concrete interventions to improve the situation.
