The Special Court yesterday accepted Sali Berisha's request to summon Prime Minister Edi Rama to provide explanations for the signatures he signed during his time as mayor of Tirana in the ongoing trial on the 'Partizani' file.
"Edi Rama has over 10 signatures in that file. Of them, punished by the court for them, the prosecution, Rama's mercenaries did not call him once when we asked, they accused Sali Berisha of things that had no connection.
The court applied the law. The signatures there belong to Edi Rama. I have a signature there (Partizan's project) after Edi Rama's signature, since the territory belongs to the municipalities.
Edi Rama and 12 companies have changed their destination without the owners' request. Tell Rama to be a man and request a hearing with national and international media to see who Edi Rama is in this affair.
"Albanians are impatiently awaiting a confrontation between me and the chief thief. I have sought a confrontation with Edi Rama, he is the man who has a terrible corrupt affair who signed for the change of destination without the request of the owners," Berisha told reporters outside the Parliament.
The court hearing at the Criminal Court of Kosovo (GJKKO) in the case of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, and other associates in the case known as the "Partizani" file began yesterday.
The trial panel has reviewed the parties' requests regarding the administration of evidence, deciding to admit the written evidence presented in the process. The court has also decided to summon and question as witnesses the persons listed in the Prosecution's request, as well as those proposed by the parties in the process.
Among the witnesses accepted to be called is Prime Minister Edi Rama, who will be questioned as a witness in the framework of these investigations. The request for his questioning has been accepted by the GJKKO.
Rama will be questioned to clarify the circumstances of the case in his capacity as mayor of Tirana at the time.
