The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, sent a congratulatory message today on the occasion of July 4, Independence Day of the United States of America, which this year marks the 249th anniversary of its proclamation.
In a post on his official profile on the X platform, the Albanian head of state expressed gratitude for the continued support that the US has provided to Albania over the years and praised the strong relationship between the two countries.
"Happy 4th of July! On this day of celebration for our American friends and allies, Albania expresses its deepest gratitude for the enduring friendship and strategic partnership with the United States of America."
"We stand united in our shared commitment to democratic values, peace and global security, looking forward to further strengthening the ties between our two wonderful nations," writes President Begaj.
His message comes on a symbolic day for the American nation, but also for Albania, which for decades has considered the US a key ally in democratization, integration processes and in guaranteeing regional and global security.
