
Prime Minister Edi Rama and the European Union Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, will hold a joint press conference today at the Prime Minister's Office, at 11:00.
The conference comes a day after the European Union published a progress report on our country, which highlighted that Albania has maintained a clear political line in full compliance with the EU's foreign and security policy, including support for sanctions against Russia, a stance that Brussels cites as proof of its reliability as a partner country.
From Brussels, EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, particularly praised Albania for its achievements in carrying out the tasks for the negotiation process.
The Head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, also said that Albania has made unprecedented progress, adding that she sees our country's membership in the EU by 2030 as possible.
While the head of the Albanian government, in his speech at the EU Enlargement Summit on November 4, 2025, stated that Albania is fighting corruption and that justice reform is hitting senior officials involved in corruption, whether on the left or the right.
He stated that by 2030, we will be at the European Union table, thanks to the profound reforms taking place in the country.
